Your starting point changes the answer
I have the lyrics
Use the free tools. You provide the words and do the timing or file work yourself.
I only have the song
Use automatic processing to get the words and timing together, then review the editable draft.
Already have the words?
These tools do real file work, but they do not discover missing lyrics or automatically align a whole song.
Load your own lyric text, optionally attach local audio, mark each line’s start and end, adjust mistakes, and export SRT, LRC, or VTT.
Open Manual Timestamp CreatorOpen SRT, LRC, or VTT, find structural and timing problems, edit complete lines, listen against optional local audio, and export a clean copy.
Open Lyric File ToolkitConvert existing timed lyrics to SRT, LRC, or VTT, or remove every timestamp to recover clean lyric text. Files stay in your browser.
Browse all free toolsWhat “generate” means here
“Lyrics generator” can mean two different things. Some tools invent new lyrics from a prompt. LyricTime does not do that. It works with an existing recording or lyrics you already own.
When you process audio, LyricTime creates a transcript and timing draft from the performance. When you use a free tool, you supply the lyric text or existing timed file and keep control of the manual work.
Both routes can end in SRT, LRC, VTT, or a lyric video. The difference is where the words and timestamps come from—and how much time you want to spend creating them yourself.

Questions, answered
No. LyricTime is designed to recover and time the words sung in audio, not invent new song lyrics from a writing prompt. Its free tools are for people who already have lyrics or a timed lyric file.
The public demo lets you evaluate LyricTime with a sample song. Transcribing or automatically aligning your own audio requires a minute pack or subscription because that processing has a real per-song cost.
You can manually timestamp lyrics you already own, convert between supported SRT, LRC, and VTT files, remove timestamps, repair lyric files, and build watermarked videos in the Lyric Video Studio.
The free file utilities and Manual Timestamp Creator work locally in your browser. They do not require an account and do not save a cloud project. Automatic transcription is a separate processed workflow.
No. It is intentionally a lightweight session tool. Export the completed SRT, LRC, or VTT file before leaving, then reopen that file in the Lyric File Toolkit if you need another editing pass.
Buying any minute pack or subscription unlocks watermark-free Lyric Video Studio exports. The free Studio remains available for watermarked exports.
