Manually sync lyrics to audio, one complete line at a time

A deliberate manual workflow

Two clear boundaries for every line

Select a line and press the timing button—or T—at its first sung sound. The button changes from Set start to Set end; press it again when the line finishes. Saving an end selects the next unfinished line automatically.

The timer refreshes smoothly while showing one-tenth-second precision. Start and end remain separately editable, with ±0.1 second nudges and undo for small misses. SRT, LRC, and VTT exports all use the boundaries you chose.

Best lyric layout

Use one natural sung phrase per row before timing. Changing line breaks after stamping means rebuilding those affected lines.

Without an audio file

Type or paste a position into Current position, choose a line, and set Start or End. This is useful when timing against another player.

When timing is hard

Zooming is not required: pause, type the exact time, or use the ±0.1 second adjustments while listening again.

What stays private

The lyric text, attached audio, timestamps, and generated files remain in this browser session. Nothing is sent for this tool.

Manual timestamp questions

Do I have to upload audio?

No. Audio is optional and local. You can type positions while listening in another app or browser tab, then set the start and end of the selected line.

Can I change a timestamp after tapping it?

Yes. Each line shows separate start and end fields. Edit either time directly, nudge it by a tenth of a second, reset the line, or use undo and redo.

Does this create word-by-word karaoke timing?

No. This tool timestamps complete lines. LyricTime automatic word timing is the paid workflow when each word needs its own highlight position.

Should I use this or the Lyric File Toolkit?

Use this creator when you start with plain lyrics and need timing. Use the Toolkit when you already have SRT, LRC, or VTT and need to inspect, repair, listen, or convert it.
