How to Make a Free Lyric Video From an MP3
If you already have an MP3 and a timed lyric file, you can make a lyric video without building every line on a video-editing timeline.
Before you start
What you need
An MP3 plus a timed lyric file in SRT, LRC, or VTT format. Use files made from the same final version of the song; an extended, trimmed, or remixed MP3 will not match the old timestamps.

Import the audio and timed lyrics
Open the Lyric Video Studio, add the MP3, then import the timed lyric file. The preview should show each line changing with the vocal. If it does not, check that the files belong to the same version of the song.
2. Choose a readable style
Start with contrast and legibility. Keep lyric text away from the edges, make it large enough for a phone screen, and use simple animation. A clear lyric video is more useful than a busy one.
3. Preview and export
Watch the beginning, chorus, and ending before exporting. Free LyricTime video exports include a watermark. That is useful for testing a style and sharing a first version; paid subscribers can export without the watermark.
Choose the right shape
Use 9:16 for TikTok, Reels, and Shorts; 16:9 for YouTube. The lyric timing stays the same when you change the layout, so you can create more than one version without re-timing the song.
